Bolney Wine Estate in Sussex is one of England’s longest-established and most successful winemakers. Created in 1976 by Janet and Rodney Pratt, its vineyards have expanded from an initial three to 39 acres. Its red, white and sparkling wines, made by head winemaker (and Janet and Rodney’s daughter) Sam Linter MW, have won numerous international awards, and are sold by Waitrose and other major retailers. When we first started working with Bolney Wine Estate, we quickly saw that the relentless attention to detail in its winemaking was missing from its brand representation. By developing a set of core messages, we helped Bolney to find a distinctive voice and presence in a crowded, competitive market.
Happily, this exercise proved just the start of a long, productive relationship. Under a cost-effective monthly retainer arrangement, we’ve continued to provide brand focus and development service for a number of years. Specific projects have ranged from way-finding signage for the popular Tasting Tours, shop and café to promotional literature. We’re currently developing its existing website (www.bolneywineestate.com) into a fully responsive ecommerce platform, to boost user engagement and wine sales. As our strapline says: English wine.
