Establishing a new brand identity is always a fascinating challenge – but when your client is overseas, it adds a whole new layer of interest and complexity. So when luxury jewellery company Deema, based in the Gulf state of Oman, asked us to create a new logo and brand positioning, we jumped at the chance.
One of the world’s leading couture jewellery makers, Deema combines the traditional and contemporary in its bespoke commissions and limited-edition pieces. Its exclusive ‘lightweight’ jewellery designs, quality and craftsmanship make it a luxury brand in the true sense of the word. Working directly with owner/designer Shadya Al-Ismailiya, we developed a logo incorporating two seahorses, symbolising Oman’s rich maritime heritage, with the ‘heart’ shape and gold colour palette encapsulating luxury, romance and a love of making.
